Refund Policy
This Refund Policy ("Policy") explains how refunds are handled for Contract Aegis ("we," "us," or "our") subscription plans and one-time purchases. By purchasing a subscription or Pay As You Go analysis, you agree to the terms outlined in this Policy.
We want you to feel confident trying Contract Aegis. If the Service doesn't meet your expectations, we offer a straightforward refund process for eligible purchases.
1. Pro Subscription Refunds
1.1 14-Day Money-Back Guarantee
New Pro subscribers are eligible for a full refund within 14 days of their initial subscription purchase. If you are not satisfied with the Service for any reason, contact us within 14 days of your first payment and we will issue a complete refund.
1.2 After the 14-Day Period
After the 14-day guarantee period, Pro subscription payments are non-refundable. You may cancel your subscription at any time, and you will retain access to Pro features until the end of your current billing period. We do not offer prorated refunds for partial months.
1.3 Annual Subscriptions
Annual Pro subscriptions are eligible for a full refund within 14 days of the initial purchase. After 14 days, annual subscriptions are non-refundable. If you cancel an annual subscription, you will retain access until the end of the prepaid annual period.
1.4 Renewal Charges
Refund requests for automatic renewal charges (monthly or annual) must be submitted within 7 days of the renewal date. After 7 days, renewal charges are non-refundable. You are responsible for cancelling your subscription before the renewal date if you do not wish to be charged.
2. Pay As You Go Refunds
2.1 Before Analysis
If you purchase a Pay As You Go analysis and have not yet submitted a contract for analysis, you may request a full refund within 30 days of purchase.
2.2 After Analysis
Once a Pay As You Go analysis has been performed (i.e., you have submitted a contract and received analysis results), the purchase is non-refundable. This is because the AI processing cost is incurred at the time of analysis.
2.3 Failed or Incomplete Analysis
If a Pay As You Go analysis fails due to a technical error on our end (e.g., server error, API failure) and you do not receive analysis results, you are entitled to either a full refund or a replacement analysis credit at your choice.
3. Free Tier
The Free tier is provided at no cost. There are no charges and therefore no refunds applicable to the Free tier.
4. How to Request a Refund

Include the following information in your request:
- Your account email address
- Date of purchase
- Reason for the refund request
- Order or transaction ID (if available)
We will review your request and respond within 3 business days. Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 5–10 business days, depending on your payment provider.
5. Exceptions
We reserve the right to deny refund requests in the following circumstances:
- Evidence of abuse, fraud, or manipulation of the refund process
- Multiple refund requests from the same account indicating a pattern of abuse
- Violation of our Terms of Service
- Requests submitted outside the eligible refund windows described above
6. Chargebacks
We encourage you to contact us directly before initiating a chargeback with your bank or credit card company. Filing a chargeback without first contacting us may result in your account being suspended. We are committed to resolving disputes fairly and promptly.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the Service or by other reasonable means before the changes take effect. The version of this Policy in effect at the time of your purchase governs your refund eligibility for that purchase.
